The object of this research is documentary program “Bumi dan Manusia”, That is a television documentary program telling about human life and relation to the other human or the earth as a place to live in. The purpose of this program is to give conclusion and solution to the problems that exist in Indonesia. The important of management in a television documentary program is very significant because if there is no production management to a television program, so the program will not run well. The method used in this research is descriptive case study and it is analysed qualified. This research was conducted at TV One that is a television station which airs the documentary program “Bumi dan Manusia” located in East Jakarta.Meanwhile for data collection method, the researcher used interview, observasion documentation and archives. The documentary program “Bumi dan Manusia” has already had a model or style use in this program. The model has fitted to the concept from the theme that will be applied. Model that is frequently applied by the Program of “Bumi dan Manusia” is model of expocitory. Management function is always done in the program production process of “Bumi dan Manusia”, for example in production steps that consist of planning, organizing, realizing and supervising. in the entire steps from the beginning to the end, the repetition of planning is done depending on the moment recorded. Afterwards, organizing is done after deciding the crews until the step of post-production. In addition, supervising the crew is conducted in the process of production, crew and the whole elements that are led and supervised in order to make good rhythm of production “Bumi dan Manusia”, like what has already planned.
