This research aims at describing the understanding of Aisyiyah management and member toward the concept of Sakinah family and to recognize the implementation of parenting pattern in the concept of Sakinah family of Aisyiyah in sub-district level of Aisyiyah Kauman Yogyakarta. This research was done through interview, observation and documentation. The data analysis was done through reduction process, data presentation, and conclusion. The research result indicates that the concept of Sakinah family of Aisyiyah includes the establishment foundation of Sakinah family, the principle of Sakinah family, the function of Sakinah family, the goal of Sakinah family, as well as the rights and obligations of Sakinah family members. Besides, the general understanding of sub-district level of Aisyiyah Kauman Yogyakarta toward the concept of Sakinah family has been manifested through actualization within family. Whilst, the implementation of parenting pattern is conducted religiously but is less involving father’s role in parenting- considering that formal school is the center of religious education.
