PENGARUH PENGUASAAN KOSAKATA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN BACAAN BAHASA JEPANG TINGKAT MENENGAH
Abstract
This study aims to know about correlation between vocabulary skill with reading comprehension, because vocabulary skill affect to reading comprehension. The study used a correlation method with a descriptive quanitative approach. The sample of the study is second-grade or intermediate level students of Japanese Language Education Department in the Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta who are taking Chuukyuu Moji Goi and Chuukyuu Dokkai on 2018-2019 academic year. The instruments used in this study are document from result of score competency test Chuukyuu Moji Goi courses and Chuukyuu Dokkai courses. Furthermore, the data calculated by product moment formulas. The results of the study is vocabulary skill affect to understand reading skill, because had a significant correlation. The data, indicate that rcalculaterd (0,559) > rtable (0,301), which the hypothesis alternative had accepted. In addition the level of the correlation it self is 0.559 which falls into middle level category.
