KESADARAN HALAL MASYARAKAT MUSLIM PANGKALPINANG TERHADAP PRODUK MAKANAN HALAL
Abstract
Pangkalpinang is the capital of the province of Bangka Belitung. The majority
of communities in Pangkalpinang is muslim. About 30% of community
Pangkalpinang religious Chinese. In Pangkalpinang still many food products and
restaurants that don't have a kosher label. This research describes Muslims halal
awareness Pangkalpinang in consuming halal food. This type of research is
qualitative ethnographic research. Method of data collection used in-depth
interviews, researchers are participating, observation and documentation. The
muslim community is the interview respondents Pangkalpinang totaling 15 people.
The technique of the validity of the data used is triangulation methods and sources.
The results of this research are firstly, the understanding of the people in the concept
of halal and halal Certification role is not directly proportional to halal awareness.
Second, the awareness of the community including halal awareness in extrinsic, i.e.
the public consume halal food to show commitment in the practice of his religion.
Third, the level of awareness of halal muslim Pangkalpinang in the Conscious
Incompetence level. The second level where communities understand and
comprehend about halal food and halal label role.
