In the view of Islam, one of the efforts to alleviate poverty is the zakat program. With the utilization of zakat, especially productive zakat, it is expected that the zakat recipient, mustahik, can produce valuable products continuously so that they can get out of poverty. The purpose of this study was to find out the management of the productive zakat fund distribution towards improving economic and welfare of the mustahiq by taking a study at a Zakat House in Medan. In addition, this study also highlights the effect of concurrent and interconnected productive zakat funds distributed by amil zakat institutions on the mustahiq’s income. The approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study found that business capital assistance, business training, business assistance, and length of business had an effect on the income of the mustahiq. From these results, the Medan’s Zakat House has provided optimal assistance in increasing mustahik income.
