TINGKAT KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI ANTAR PROFESI PADA MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN PROFESI DOKTER DAN FARMASI YANG TERPAPAR INTERPROFESSIONAL EDUCATION(IPE) DI FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN DAN ILMU KESEHATAN UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
The role of each health Profession in Indonesia is not running maximally yet, so that the number of human errors happen in terms of health service are remain high. There is a need for reconstruction of health educational system, so that can give a health service professionally which has been inculcated early. Interprofessional education (IPE) is a learning system for students in health studies to do a cooperation or collaboration by doing their own role in dealing with a patient oriented health case. Interproffesional communication is the most important part to collaborating in IPE studies.
This research’s purpose is to know about the level of interproffesional communication skill of physician professional education study program and pharmacy after take a part of IPE studies in Medical and Health Science Faculty, Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta. This research use descriptive method with cross sectional approach. The sampling use the non probability sample according to quota sampling. With 100 students as a sample that’s consist 50 students from both major which is Medical and Pharmacy who are meet the inclusion criteria. The data is taken by a questionnaire refer to interproffesional communication inventory (ICI) which categorized by using a likert scale in high, medium, and low category.
The result of this research shows that the level of interprofessional communication of medical and pharmacy student mostly in high category with percentage 58% (58 out of 100 students). The conclusion of this research: the level of interprofessional communication in medical and pharmacy students after take a part of IPE studies is in high category.
