This research aims to analyze the leading sector in the Regency of Sragen. The analysis is done by comparing GDRP on the basis of Constant Price of Sragen in 2010 and GDRP on the basis of Constant Price of Central Java Province in 2010. The model of analysis that been used in the Analysis of Location Quotient (LQ), analysis of Shift Share, analysis Model of the Growth Ratio (MRP) and analysis of Overlay. According to the Overlay analysis in Sragen regency in the year 2012 – 2016 the result is the leading economic sectors in terms of contribution and growth are water procurement, waste management, waste and recycling, wholesale and retail trade sectors; car and motor cycle reparations, and education services sector.
