HUBUNGAN GAYA BELAJAR DENGAN NILAI UJIAN MCQ MAHASISWA KEDOKTERAN DI UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
Todays many medical students disapointed with their MCQ score. This is
because many students have not know some factors that influence the MCQ score.
One of the factors that influence their study result is their study style. Study style
is a way or strategy that is applied by every human, study style is divided into
three those are: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. Visual is a study style that
emphasizes on sense of seeing. Auditory is a study style that emphasizes on sense
of hearing. Kinesthetic is a study style that emphasizes on sense of touch or
practice. The aim of this research is to know the relationship between study style
and study result. It is also to know the relationship between the auditory, visual,
and kinesthetik study style toward the study result or achievement.
This research is an analytical research with cross sectional research design.
To determine the relation between random variables and bound variables. The
data analisys uses the bivariat correlation to see the relationship between
variables.
The result of the research shown that from 135 sample of medical students
of UMY years of 2010 those are chosen in random, for about 41% of the student
use the visual study style, about 40% use the auditory study style, and for about
19% use the kinesthetic study style. The bivariate correlation shows that p<0,005
is 0,000 which means that there is mean correlation between the two examined
variables. According to the result, there is correlation between study style and
MCQ score. The correlation result shows 0,876 which means that it has very
strong correlation.
