HUBUNGAN TINGKAT KEPARAHAN DAN KUALITAS HIDUP PADA PASIEN DERMATITIS ATOPIK ANAK DI RS PKU MUHAMMADIYAH 1 YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
ABSTRACT
Background: Atopic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease, that related to atopic symptoms such as allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis and bronchial asthsma. Atopic dermatitis is a health problem that can affect the patient’s quality of life. Quality of life is an individual perception about their position in life in the context of culture and value systems where they and in relation to their goals, expectations, standards and concern.
Purpose: To determine the relationship of the severity of atopic dermatitis with quality of life in child patients in PKU Muhammadiyah 1 Hospital Yogyakarta.
Method: This research is a kind of quantitative research with Cross Sectional research design. The sample of this research is outpatient in polyclinic of skin and sex which amounts to 30 respondents. The data analysis used was Kendall's Tau to see the closeness of the relation of atopic dermatitis severity to the quality of life.
Result and discussion: There is correlation between severity of atopic dermatitis with quality of life with p value <0,05. The severity of atopic dermatitis has been shown to affect the patient's quality of life.
Conclusion: The severity of atopic dermatitis is related to the quality of life of the patient.
