EFEKTIVITAS DAUN PEGAGAN (Centella asiatica) DALAM REHABILITASI HEPATITIS ALKOHOLIK HEPAR MENCIT (Mus Musculus) MELALUI HASIL PENGAMATAN MAKROSKOPIS
Abstract
Alcoholic hepatitis is an inflammatory syndrome in the liver which generally occurs due to prolonged alcohol consumption in the long term. Leaf kola composition with the content of flavonoids and polyphenols function as a hepatoprotetor. The purpose of this study was to overcome the effectiveness of Pegagan leaf extract (Centela asiatica) in rehabilitation of alcoholic hepatic in mice (Mus musculus) through observation of weight and hepatic volume.
This research is an experimental research with pretest posttest control group design. The subjects were male mice, Swiss Webster age 2-3 months old with body weight + 20 gram, 30 randomly divided into 6 groups, each group consisted of 5 subjects. Alcoholic induction was performed with 14.7% red wine at 1.12 mg / 20gBB peroral once daily for 21 days. Pegagan leaf extract (Centela asiatica) was administered orally by division of doses of 55mg / KgBB; 110mg / KgBB; And 220mg / KgBB. Weight measurement using the analytical balance, while the volume using measuring glass and air. Data were analyzed using Kruskal Willis.
The size of mice weight and hepatic volume (Mus musculus) in all groups except normal control result was increased after induction of alcohol 14.7% and decrease after administration of Centella asiatica leaf extract dose 220mg / kgBW (p <0.05). Pegagan leaf extract (Centela asiatica) dose 220mg / kgBB effective for the rehabilitation of Alcoholic Hepatitis in mice.
