Background : Sexually transmitted diseases such as syphilis are one of many sexually transmitted disease aither through sexual contact or through blood donation. The absence of examination of potential blood donor can transmit the syphilis fond in the blood donors to the bood donor recipients. Objective : the purpose of this study was to determine the profile and risk factor of syphilis VDRL Positive blood donors in red cross Indonesia big city Yogyakarta. Methods : The research method used is descriptive qualitative re search. This research used interview method, the subject of this study is, 1. Infected blood donors, 2. Checks the validity of the data using technique triangulation and source. Leather data analysis techniques follow the concept Milles and Huberman le data analysis with step-step data collection, data reduction, display data, and conclution drawing or verification. Results : shows that syphilis VDRL profile is a positive blood donor in Yogyakarta big city shown subject is that subjects infected with infectious diseases of syphilis faal into te category of young age. Conclusion : Free sex behavior profile and risk factor review of syphilis VDRL Positive blood donors.
