Background: Cases of drug abuse is increasing. Drug abuse is the use of drugs that do not for the purpose of treatment, but because they want to enjoy the effect, in excess amount that is less regular and lasts long enough, causing disruption of physical health, mental and social life. The study was conducted to determine how the relationship between knowledge of the dangers of drugs with attitude and action of the drug abus in students UMY. Purpose: To analyze the level of understanding of the dangers of drugs and what to do with drug abuse in students Method: This study is a quantitative research design observational study with cross sectional approach. Samples of this research that Muhammadimahasiswa University student Muhammadiah University Yogyakarta totaling 389 respondents taken with Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. The data analysis used was Spearman rank test to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitude and action of the drug abuse. Result and discussion: There was significant relationship between knowledge and attitudes drug abuse (p = 0.038) and there was significant relationship between knowledge with action of drug abuse (p = 0.40). It has been proven link between knowledge of the dangers of drug with the attitude and action of drug abuse.
