Intra Uterine Fetal Death (IUFD) is one of the contributor to high Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in Indonesia. IUFD can be caused by maternal factor, which is Premature Rupture of Membrane (PROM). Premature rupture of membrane can caused direct exposure between the outside and inside the womb that can ease the occurance of infections. This study aimed to know the relation between premature rupture of membrane and Intra Uterine Fetal Death among primigravida and multigravida in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Gamping Yogyakarta. This study used comparative analytical observation with cross-sectional study design. This study used medical record with 503 samples which are patient who did a normal pervaginam labor at PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Gamping Yogyakarta in period of June 2014-June 2016. Samples are divided into two groups with 254 patient in primigravida group and 249 patient in multigravida group. Data analyzed with Chi Square methods and for primigravida group there is no significant difference in statistic (p=0,155), while in multigravida there is a significant difference in statistic (p=0,033) with no linear relationship (r=0,150). Based on the study result, it can be concluded that there is not enough prove that shows the relation between premature rupture of membrane and IUFD on primigravida, but there is a relation between premature rupture of membrane and IUFD on multigravida in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Gamping Yogyakarta.
